The entry fee is a lot of money, how come?

Rest assured we do everything we can to keep the price down. Competitors should be aware that entry fees covers less than half the cost of putting on the event with the balance made up by additional income streams and the massive generosity of sponsors, volunteers and a lot of other people who dedicate weeks of their lives in the build up for nothing more than a thank you and the joy of being part of a great team. Cent for cent, we think this is the best value event in New Zealand when you consider the variety of disciplines, the fact that we move all the gear for you, the duration, the media coverage and the ground-breaking technology we are applying for Live Coverage.
